You Shine Like a Burning Star

12 Aug

Another day, another round of national press for our little superstar doggy Jasper.

The good folks at Petopia asked me to write a guest blog a couple weeks back. The entry I prepared for them – “The Calm Before the Storm” – is now available online. In it I write about J’s diagnosis, his never-ending love of water and waiting for what’s next. Hope you enjoy the entry.

Jasper is back at the U of M vet today for his bi-weekly update. He’s been a little more tired and stiff than usual this week, so I’m anxious to get the vet report later today.

In the meantime, I’ve been dreaming of snow, but I’ll save that for my next entry.

Ruebold, you and Jasper are both very brave and may God Bless you as you fight the good fight against cancer. Thank you for bringing awareness to this ever increasing canine disease.

Hello to Jasper and hello to Jasper’s wonderful parents! It’s so nice to read about folks that care so much for their pups! My husband and I have a blog too, TheGoodDogBlog.com. We have written about our beloved Vizsla, Tucker, who sadly passed away last August. We now how two younger Vizslas, Bodi and Oliver, whom we have adopted.

Please feel free to visit our blog, anytime and read about our lives with Tucker, Bodi and Oliver.

Thank you again for sharing your story about Jasper. We are sending you hugs, kisses and doggie prayers for you and your beloved canine!

    Take care,
    Nancy Morrison

    Hi

I’ve come over from Jan’s Funny Farm. I’ve just read your lovely article “The Calm before the storm” and wanted to say thank you for articulating what it means to live with a beloved pet with cancer – and more so a beloved pet who doesn’t seem to understand that he/she is very ill and just carries on as normal. Your memories of Jasper’s love of water are very precious. I wish you and Jasper all the very best and treasure every moment together.

    Take care
